Best friends Ayaan and Mikaeel aka The Lemonaid Boys have teamed up with International Humanitarian Charity Penny Appeal this Ramadan to raise money for Syria Homes.
The boys will be jumping on the Penny Appeal Community Kitchen on Tuesday 12th April in Ilford Town Centre to squeeze oranges and hand out to the vulnerable and homeless in a bid to raise awareness of their work and to give something back in the holy month of Ramadan.
As well as making the orangeade the boys have been running online auctions on their Instagram page to sell cakes to raise money for the cause.
Ayaan and Mikaeel say of their new fundraiser
“We are so excited to be teaming up this year with Penny Appeal and making orangeade! Penny Appeal’s colour is orange, so it made sense to make orangeade for them this year to raise awareness of their work! We are aiming to raise £5000 for Syria Homes and we will be working with them after Ramadan to become official ambassadors”
Penny Appeals founder Adeem Younis goes on to say
“Ayaan and Mikaeel are absolutely amazing young boys, at such tender ages they are aware of how important charity is and want to help people far less fortunate than them. We are honoured and privileged that these two brilliant friends have chosen Penny Appeal to team up with and raise much needed funds for the people of Syria”.
